Northridge 138kV Cut Ins

Kent Power helped ITC to decommission the Four Mile 138 kV station in Alpine Twp and redirect circuits to the newly built Northridge substation to support the growing electrical needs of Grand Rapids, MI and its blossoming business community. The project spanned over a 14 month period and required significant stakeholder coordination. Kent Power scope included 12 miles of static replacement with OPGW; 1 mile of double circuit 138kV; .8 miles single circuit 138kV; PTS Installation; and 29 new steel structures between Tallmadge, North Ridge, and 4 Mile substations.

Emergency Storm Response
Ice Storms March 2025

Kent Power joined more than 2,500 other contracted workers to support emergency restoration services after an unprecedented ice storm event occurred in northern Michigan in March 2025. Clients that were supported replaced more than triple their total annual pole replacement averages in only a short four week timeframe.
